The Funchal City Council will maintain the traditional line of Market Night, focusing on popular songs and typical Christmas music, said the mayor.
Like last year, Pedro Calado stated that although there will be entertainment with a DJ between midnight and 4 am on December 24th, there will be “no clubs”.
“We will not allow non-traditional Christmas songs to be played”, he pointed out.
The objective is to recover and maintain Madeiran traditions at Christmas.
“It’s a traditional night, to spend with the family, the clubs will be in other spaces, but not in the Mercado dos Lavradores space”, he concluded.
