The helicopter from the Regional Civil Protection Service was activated moments ago to fight the fire that broke out this morning in a bush area, in Lombada, Ponta do Sol.
In addition to the helitransported team, the Mixed Firefighters from Ribeira Brava and Ponta do Sol are also on site with a heavy firefighting vehicle and a light one.
At the moment the fire does not threaten homes.
