‘Santa Claus’ had more than 2,500 doses of drugs and “a large amount of money”

The Regional Command of the Public Security Police of Madeira confirms the news reported by DIÁRIO in this Wednesday’s printed edition, about the arrest of an individual dressed as Santa Claus who was distributing drugs on Christmas Eve, in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos .

According to the PSP, “in the early hours of December 25th, police officers from the Câmara de Lobos Police Station arrested a male individual, aged 24, born in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos, suspected of committing the crime of drug trafficking”.

The PSP reports that five different types of synthetic narcotic and/or psychoactive substances were seized, some exceeding more than two thousand and five hundred individual doses, a large amount of money and various materials for preparing, cutting and packaging narcotic products.
