The 1st São Martinho Christmas Market is taking place which started yesterday and running until the 23rd, at Jardins do Lido, from 5pm to 10pm.
This is an initiative by the Parish Council of São Martinho, led by Marco Gonçalves, which promises to boost an area that is highly sought after, not only by tourists but also by families.
Since Christmas is a family celebration, this is another excuse for a walk, for gatherings around traditional delicacies and for shopping with a spirit of solidarity, and more.
The inauguration was attended by the regional secretary of Tourism and Culture, Eduardo Jesus, and the president of Funchal City Council, Pedro Calado.
