Porto do Funchal handles more than 12 thousand people this Monday

A total of 12,187 people arrived at the port of Funchal today on board three ships that are traveling along the Atlantic islands route, known as the CAI route.

The first to arrive was ‘AIDAcosma’, which is on a 19-hour layover, leaving around midnight towards Tenerife. On board it is carrying 5,309 passengers and 1,446 crew, on this 7-night cruise with stops at three Canary islands, in addition to Madeira, which ends in Tenerife next Wednesday.

The ‘Azura’ came from Tenerife with 2,939 passengers and 1,109 crew. It will be at 9:30 pm that he sails to Las Palmas, on this trip that only ends on December 8th.

Finally, the ‘Balmoral’ arrived, carrying 829 passengers and 555 crew, leaving Funchal at 7 pm. This ship is completing a 13-night cruise, which began in Southampton, with planned stops at four Canary islands and Funchal. She also visits Lisbon on the way up to Southampton, where the trip ends on December 13th.
