Albuquerque leaves the presidency of the Regional Government

Name of successor will be ratified on Monday by the PSD-M Regional Council.

Miguel Albuquerque will leave the presidency of the Regional Government. His successor, whose name he did not reveal, will be proposed next Monday at a meeting of the PSD-M Regional Council, as has just been announced in the aftermath of the PSD-M’s Extraordinary Political Commission.

Before that, he took stock of his governance, starting with the “exceptional” economic growth of his governance.

Recognizing that “at this moment, for the good of Madeira, it is necessary to find a solution of government stability”, he said he was “always available to contribute to a good solution”.

Solution that referred to the beginning of next week with the convened meeting of the Political Committee “which will approve the name of the person who will be proposed to lead the Government of Madeira”, reaffirming that it “is supported by the coalition between PSD and CDS with PAN’s parliamentary support”, he declared.
