This Monday, lifeguards found a body floating next to Praia Formosa, in Funchal.
After the alert was given to 112, members of the Salva Vidas SR40 from Funchal collected the body, transporting it to Pier 8, where the Maritime Police, Judiciary Police, Public Security Police and health delegate were waiting for the body.
The information was confirmed by ZMM commander Rui Rodrigues Teixeira to JM, who added that he was a male individual, approximately 40 years old.
Immediately after authorization from the health delegate, the body will be transported to the Legal and Forensic Medicine Service of Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça, in Funchal.
