Around 50 police officers from the Madeira Operational Command joined a vigil in Praça do Município, protesting against the Government of the Republic.
The concentration began at midnight and lasted until dawn.
The protest by PSP professionals, which had started with the stopping of patrol cars in Lisbon, spread across the country.
Risk subsidy given to PJ and not to PSP and GNR and lack of vehicle circulation conditions are some of the demands.
