The cliff overlooking Estrada da Queimada, which connects Água de Pena to Machico, is being subject to work this January, due to recurring rockfalls.
It has been closed since the end of November and the work is expected to take around three weeks.
As DIÁRIO reported, the alternative is to pass through the Água de Pena Sports Park, whose south gate will be open from 6am to 2am, or the Estrada do Seixo, which connects the ‘do Modelo’ roundabout to the Seixo roundabout.
