After 61 hours TUI Flight Arrives in Madeira

Thanks to Mike Baker for the info and screen shot.

TUI Flight Manchester finally arrived in Madeira after 61 hours.

The flight was unable to land on Friday, due to the bad weather, and diverted to Porto Santo, where passengers were eventually put up in a hotel for a night.

Saturday passengers we up early and at the airport for 9am, but with the bad weather in Madeira, they were left in the airport for hours, before eventually taking off in the afternoon.

Couldn’t have been a worse time to try to get to the island as the weather really took a turn for the worse with heavy rain and poor visibility, the flight circled for a while, but then eventually diverted to Tenerife, where passengers were put up in another hotel for the night.

I not sure how the day was for the passengers today, but I imagine a lot of time at the airport, with more delays, but the flight finally arrived at 21.16 this evening, an hour are the scheduled arrival.

Not sure why it took all day for TUI to get their passengers to Madeira today, missing another day of their holiday. Were you on this flight.?
