35 flights canceled at Madeira Airport this Thursday

More than 6 thousand passengers will have been affected.

Yesterday Thursday) , as a result of bad weather (wind and precipitation) caused by the passage through the Region of the Karlotta depression, with particular incidence in the afternoon and evening, between arrivals and departures, 35 of the 61 flights that were scheduled were canceled at the Airport Madeira International – Cristiano Ronaldo.

It is estimated that more than 6 thousand passengers may have been affected due to the flights not being carried out (18 arrivals, 17 departures).

Still a consequence of the constraints on air movement that prevented, for almost 12 hours, landings at Madeira Airport – it registered gusts of up to 95.8 km/h – two flights on today’s schedule, departing from Funchal (4:15 and 10:30 ), both bound for Lisbon and operated by TAP, were cancelled.
