Today is another day of the Festa dos Compadres and, one could say, perhaps, the strongest day. It starts at 11 am and runs until at least 4 pm.
Songs from Arco da Velha ‘open hostilities’, followed at 1pm by Fernandina Barros. But it’s after lunch that the best part comes, the Parade Folião through the streets of the city of Santana from 2:30 pm and then, at 3 pm, the Ethnographic Parade to entertain visitors and residents.
At 4pm, the also traditional Judgment and Sentence of the Compadres, as well as the Queima do Compadre and Comadre.
What happens in the rest of the afternoon/evening will be up to those who go there, but for sure will be in party mode.
