More than 1,000 passengers disembarked in Porto Santo today

After sailings were canceled for Friday, February 9, on the ship Lobo Marinho, due to bad weather, sailings resumed today with 1,052 passengers arriving at Ilha Dourada on a weekend marked by Carnival revelry.

Upon arrival in Porto Santo this morning, travelers had to exit through the back of the ship, instead of the usual exit via the stairs, a situation that led some passengers to question a possible breakdown, on their first trip after the period in which it was in the shipyard for maintenance. Carlos Perdigão Santos, executive administrator of Porto Santo Line, clarifies that there was no malfunction, explaining that it is a normal situation on the first trip after maintenance.

“There was no damage and it happens every year. The transport of the staircase that was also repaired – painted and to see if there was anything to adjust – the first trip to Porto Santo goes inside the ship, So people don’t have to wait and they exit via the car ramp”, he clarified.
