The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has just extended the yellow warning for maritime unrest on the coasts of North Madeira and the island of Porto Santo for another two hours. The previous warning was in force until 7:00 am on Sunday, now it is in force, in principle, until 9:00 am.
Waves 4 to 5 meters high are expected, coming into force today, from 12 noon. In other words, if it is not canceled sooner or extended again, there will be almost two days, more or less 45 hours, of yellow warning for maritime unrest, which means care must be taken.
