There are some signs of danger that appear throughout the area of Miradouro do Guindaste, in Faial, one of the main tourist attractions on the north coast of the island. Still, there are those who dare to defy all dangers and ignore all warnings, going beyond what should be the limitations of this place.
Although the glass platforms are the most attractive factor to this area, the fact is that many visitors to this site, tourists and others, do not limit themselves to that space and end up risking their lives by placing themselves next to the precipice, often just to capture the best photos.
The excessive audacity has been reproduced several times in the media, with people even asking for intervention from the authorities in order to avoid a possible tragedy.
