Tourist couple lost in the mountains of São Vicente

The Volunteer Firefighters of São Vicente and Porto Moniz and the Forest Police have been looking for a couple of tourists who are lost in the mountains, in São Vicente, since late this afternoon, JM learned from a source at the Regional Civil Protection Service.

According to initial information, the man and woman were disoriented on their way back to the starting point, in Serra do Caramujo.

On the way and looking for the couple is a BVSVPM mountain search and rescue and rescue team from the Forest Police patrol.

From what JM found, neither of the two tourists were injured, so they are simply lost. Apparently, the two were located using the cell phone’s GPS. The rescue operation could last a few more hours.
