South Coast now under Orange warning for tomorrow

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere places the South Coast of the island of Madeira under orange warning from 3pm this Thursday, 8th February, until 3am on Friday, 9th February, due to the occurrence of precipitation strong and persistent. 

A yellow warning will also be in force for winds with gusts of up to 80 km/h, between 9 am and 6 pm tomorrow. The same will happen with the sea agitation, between 00:00 and 6:00 on Friday, with waves from the southwest measuring 4 meters.

On Friday, the precipitation warning turns yellow, with persistent rain, sometimes heavy, between 3 and 6 am. 

The North Coast is under yellow warning for southwest winds with gusts of up to 80 km/h, between 9 am and 6 pm. 

As already reported, mountainous regions are on orange alert for precipitation, between 3 pm tomorrow and 3 am on Friday.
