It could well be a day of airport closure tomorrow, with strong winds forecast from 9-10am till 5-6 pm, it will be interesting if other airlines take notice of the weather warnings, and cancel flights before departure.
Bad weather forecasts led TAP to cancel some flights to and from Madeira scheduled for this Thursday, February 8th.
On the ANA Aeroportos website, so far, flights departing from Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport and heading to Lisbon at 10:10 am (TP 1687), 1:50 pm (TP 1689) and 5:10 pm (TP 1691) have been marked as cancelled.
Obviously this affects the departure of these flights to Lisbon, the Portuguese airline canceled flights TP 1688 (at 11 am), TP 1690 (2:40 pm), TP 1692 (6:25 pm) and TP 1694 (9:15 pm).
