French police seized cell phones and computers in searches carried out at the missing couple’s residence in São Vicente, as well as the bakery they run, reveal La Depeche and Le Parisien morning newspapers.
Even so, and according to La Depeche, nothing suspicious was detected or that could suggest that the couple intended to end their lives.
Véronique and Laurent Blond, aged 56 and 58, who live in the Beaumont-de-Lomagne region, near Toulouse, were reported missing in Madeira on March 16, with the alert being given by their daughter who was also on holiday in the Region and who, on that day, chose to rest.
