Lobo Marinho cancels trips on March 29th and 30th

This is not good news for all those booked for an Easter Break to the island. You would think they could charter a TAP flight or something.

Sea travel between Madeira and Porto Santo restricted due to the bad weather conditions forecast, following the Nelson depression.

The voyages of the ship Lobo Marinho, tomorrow, March 29th, and Saturday, March 30th, will be cancelled due to forecasts of bad weather, Porto Santo Line reported today.

In a printed statement, the concessionaire explains that trips departing from Funchal at 8 am and returning from Porto Santo at 6 pm “will be cancelled due to the bad weather conditions expected, following the Nelson depression that is being felt in the Autonomous Region of Madeira”.

Porto Santo Line points out that trips today, March 28th (FNC-PXO at 7pm and PXO-FNC at 10:30pm) and Sunday, March 31st (FNC-PXO at 8am and 4:30pm and PXO-FNC at 1pm and 8pm) will take place as scheduled.

In the same note, the shipowner informs that to change tickets to another date, passengers can contact the company by phone (+351 291 210 300) or send an email (to infopsl@gruposousa.pt ), on Monday Monday to Sunday, from 9 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm.

Alternatively, you can go to a Porto Santo Line counter, located: at Avenida do Mar e das Comunidades Madeirenses, no. 20, Funchal: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 6 pm; at Estrada Monumental, no. 175 C, Funchal: from Monday to Sunday, from 9 am to 8 pm; at Cais do Funchal, from Monday to Sunday, from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm; at Rua D. Estevão de Alencastre, Loja 6/7, Porto Santo, from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 6 pm.

It should be noted that following the passage of the Nelson depression through the archipelago, the trips of the ship Lobo Marinho, on March 27th, had already been cancelled.

Forecasts for this Easter weekend point to a significant increase in wind intensity with gusts that could reach 110 km/h, the occurrence of showers and sea agitation with waves that could reach 10 meters.
