A 76-year-old tourist felt unwell this Thursday while walking along Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço, in Caniçal, and went into cardiorespiratory arrest.
The Machico Municipal Firefighters and the Rapid Intervention Medical Team (EMIR) were called to the scene and tried to revive him, but without success.
Death was declared at the scene.
