Confinement measures in Madeira until 8 March but ‘take-away’ possible all week

The Regional Government has decided to extend the confinement measures until next March 8th, but makes a change. Home delivery,  ‘take-away’, can happen every day, including at the weekend, until 10 pm. The practice of individual sports can take place on March 4, 2021.

At the meeting of the Government Council this afternoon, the lease of part of an urban building located at Rua 31 de Janeiro, in Funchal, for the installation of the Regional Health Directorate was authorized.

The Madeiran executive also approved until March 31, 2021, the temporary exemption period for the payment of rents resulting from contracts for the concession of the right to explore regarding Casa do Rabaçal, Casa da Abrigo da Achada do Teixeira, Casa da Abrigo Quinta do Santo da Serra, Casa do Sardinha, Casa de Abrigo das Queimadas, sanitary facilities in Rabaçal and Cafeteria do Jardim Botânico. The cafeteria in the “Jardins do Garajau” is also exempt from paying rent until March 31, 2021.

The temporary exemption from the payment of rents and fees for the month of March 2021 extends, applying the rules of proportionality to debts with non-monthly maturity, resulting from concession contracts and private use securities in the maritime public domain, to exception of the titles of temporary use of water resources, protected by the services that integrate the Direct Regional Administration of the Autonomous Region of Madeira with coastal administration skills.
