Madeira registers 53 new cases and 95 recovered this Thursday

This Thursday, Madeira accounted for 53 new cases of covid-19, all of which were locally transmitted. Most of the new cases concern contacts of positive cases already reported.

In addition, the epidemiological bulletin reports 95 recovered cases to be reported, with the result that the Region totals 1,350 active cases, 25 of which are imported and the remaining 1,325 are locally transmitted.

RAM counts, to date, a total of 64 deaths associated with covid-19.

As for hospitalizations, 39 people are in Multipurpose Units and 5 in the Intensive Care Unit dedicated to COVID-19. There are 39 people recovering in a dedicated hotel unit, the rest remaining in their own accommodation.

As for the situations under study, there are currently 211 cases related to travelers identified at the airport, contacts with positive cases or other situations reported to the SRS24 line or to SESARAM.

With regard to the active surveillance of positive case contacts, 1,553 people are being monitored by the health authorities of the various municipalities in Madeira and Porto Santo.

Regarding the surveillance of travelers, 3618 people are also being accompanied by the authorities, using the MadeiraSafe application.
