“Very full schedule” prevented Albuquerque from going to the Bitcoin Conference

Justification given by the resigning president of the Regional Government himself.

The absence of the resigned president of the Regional Government of Madeira at the Bitcoin Conference, held over three days in Funchal – from Friday to Sunday – was due to Miguel Albuquerque’s “very busy schedule” over the three days of the event.

This is at least the justification given by him when today, on the sidelines of the celebrations of the 31st anniversary of the Madeira Operational Command, he was asked about the reason for his absence from the international event, when he himself had been one of the great drivers in bringing the Region to Conference, after having participated in Miami, USA, in an event also related to Bitcoins.

“Due to my schedule I am now committed to just one thing: the election next Sunday”, he began by saying, referring to the National Legislative elections, and then justifying that he did not attend the Estádio do Marítimo, where the event took place, for reasons agenda.

Still, he made a point of highlighting that the Conference held in Funchal “went very well”, highlighting the presence of the founder of Twitter, now called network X.
