Port of Funchal with two cruise ships and a megayacht bringing more than 7 thousand people

The Port of Funchal today hosts two cruise ships, AIDAperla and Island Princess, which are handling a total of 7,181 people, of which 5,300 are passengers.

The two ships are on a transatlantic voyage.

The AIDAperla arrived from Tenerife, bringing on board 3,525 passengers and 994 crew.

It stays in Madeira for 13 hours and leaves at 5:30 pm for the Port of Leixões.

The ship began this cruise on March 28th in the Dominican Republic, with stops in Aruba, Curaçao, Bonnaire, Grenade, Barbados, Dominica, Antigua, La Palma, Tenerife, Funchal, Porto, A Coruña, Le Havre and Hamburg, the end of this trip on April 23rd.

The Island Princess comes from Malaga, spends 11 hours in Madeira and travels with 1,775 passengers and 887 crew.

This 50-night cruise started in South Africa, with calls in Namibia, Cape Verde, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Agadir, Lisbon, Cadiz, Barcelona, ​​Marseille, Toulon, Genoa, Livorno, Rome, Naples, Sicily, Athens, Mykonos, Ephesus, Turkey, Iraklion, Gibraltar, Malaga, now Funchal, then Kings Wharf, in Bermuda and Fort Lauderdale, where the trip ends on April 25th.

In the Port of Funchal, at anchorage, there is also the mega-yacht Anemoi, which arrived this morning for a 99-hour stopover.

It came from Antigua, in the Caribbean, has 7 crew members on board and is scheduled to leave for Saturday, bound for Gibraltar.
