“I’m not going to comment on anything,” says Albuquerque

The president of the Regional Government in management, Miguel Albuquerque, did not want to talk about the arrival of around fifty Judiciary Police inspectors in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The governor justified it by the fact that he had been, since early in the morning, at the anniversary ceremony of the Padre Manuel Álvares Primary and Secondary School, in Ribeira Brava, and which included several activities.

As DIÁRIO reported, in the early afternoon, a military plane ‘Hércules C-130’, from the Portuguese Air Force, landed at Madeira Airport carrying around fifty inspectors from the Judiciary Police who were traveling to Madeira to, according to what was learned o DIÁRIO, carry out investigations within the scope of a judicial process that is being carried out under the supervision of the Central Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DCIAP).

If confirmed, this is the second time that DCIAP has brought teams to Madeira to assist in investigations, after a similar action in January revolutionized regional politics and led to dismissals, including that of Miguel Albuquerque.
