Mega-yacht ‘Juice’ arrives in Funchal for a five-day stopover

The mega-yacht ‘Juice’ arrived this Wednesday morning in Funchal, for a five-day stopover, to refuel and rest the crew.

With 16 crew on board, the yacht is on a repositioning trip from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean. She left on April 30th from the port of Saint George, in Bermuda, and continued her journey on Sunday, at 5 pm, towards Gibraltar, her port of destination.

Measuring 71 meters long and with a draft of 3.35 meters, ‘Juice’ was built by the Dutch luxury yacht specialists Feadship, sailing for the first time in 2022.

With a mostly British crew, including captain James Jackson, the mega-yacht will be docked at the South pier.

The yacht is valued at around 130 million euros, and belongs to British billionaire Laurence Graff. Businessman and founder of the jewelry company Graff Diamonds, Graff is a well-known art collector, with ‘Juice’ reflecting this taste, with several works of art on board. The ship, which is booked by Transinsular, has the capacity to accommodate 12 passengers in six cabins.

The businessman, who appears in the top 1000 on Forbes magazine’s list of the richest in the world, owns a second yacht, also built by Feadship, but much more ‘modest’: 18.5 million euros.

Since the beginning of the year, more than three dozen yachts have stopped in the Region, on their repositioning trips from the Caribbean to Europe.
