It was recently reported that a foreign couple had spent the night in the center of Funchal, after surprised passers-by captured photographs of a tent set up on the street.
To Jornal Madeira, the tourist assures that he was just testing the equipment, having left the tent set up for around 10 minutes.
According to the man, who says he doesn’t understand why the fact was reported, the tent was intended for camping in the mountains, so he decided to try it out before being able to use it.
