“We currently have all the conditions to have a Government Program approved. Especially because the program that we are going to present today includes a set of initiatives and projects, which was embodied in a large number of programs from the opposition parties themselves”, Miguel Albuquerque told journalists.
The Government Program, which will be delivered this afternoon, includes, in particular, “some proposals from Chega, JPP, PAN and IL [ in addition to the CDS-PP, as had already been reported ]”, said the leader of the executive.
It should be noted that Chega, like the PS, had already announced that it will vote against approval of the Government’s program and regional budget, and JPP, which has the third largest parliamentary group, IL and PAN, have not yet indicated their voting intention.
Among the measures to be taken forward, the highlight is the ferry tender, for a maritime connection between Madeira and the mainland.
The president of the Regional Government spoke during the visit to Restaurante 4 Quintas, a new space built from scratch in Prazeres.
It is an investment by the emigrant in Panama, José Falante.
“I made a point of being present to continue supporting these types of initiatives”, said Miguel Albuquerque.
