Lifeguards save surfer on Seixal beach

In the late afternoon of Monday, June 3rd, the team of lifeguards present at Seixal beach, in Porto Moniz, saved a trainee who lost her balance while attending a surfing class.

The surfer, 23 years old and of Austrian nationality, lost her balance and “when she fell, she tried to hold on to the board” and suffered “trauma to her right upper limb”, according to a post by Sanas Madeira on social media.

The woman was assisted by both lifeguards and the trainer, and waited at the scene for an ambulance to arrive, which transported her to a hospital unit.
