The last TAP flight this morning, bound for Madeira, ended up diverting to Porto Santo, after aborting an attempt to approach the runway in Santa Cruz.
Flight TP1687, operated by airbus A321-251NX, from the national company, was scheduled to arrive at 11:40 am, but after a few “turns” in the skies of Madeira, waiting for an opening to approach the runway, it ended up flying to golden island, allegedly due to adverse weather conditions in Santa Cruz, which at that time recorded a maximum gust of 58 km/h.
