Around 15 employees of the Funchal Citizen’s Shop ( loja do Cidadão) are protesting due to the persistent bad smell that has affected the working environment inside the facilities.
The workers, dissatisfied with the lack of solutions to the problem, say that the situation has been dragging on for about three weeks, which is harming not only health, but also public service.
Employees report that the unpleasant odor, described by many as “unbearable”, has an unknown origin, and despite several complaints and requests for intervention, the measures taken so far have been insufficient to resolve the issue that has been “dragging on for too long”.
