Very strange as I was thinking about this today, and something else that never happened, so hopefully it will now.
The chromatic project planned for the Paul do Mar houses is only pending the resolution of “bureaucratic problems” because “the procedure already has budgetary space”. This is what the mayor of Calheta says, who this afternoon, during the opening of the lapa festival, promised to move the process forward.
“It is a public tender, with some difficulties, with some bureaucracy, but it is in full swing”, stated the mayor of Calheta, thanking the government for the support that was established to minimize the costs of a project that he considers “important” for Paul do Mar, along with the requalification of the lockers that were handed over to the fishermen this week, he recalled. “The next one will be the chromatic study”, he assured.
For this purpose, 600 thousand euros have been budgeted so that the houses between the port and the cemetery area can be renovated, presenting alternative colors and which can be another attractive element from a tourist point of view.
“We had technicians, we also had members of the Paul do Mar Parish Council and the owners of the houses welcomed us very well and it was truly a success”, said the mayor of Calheta.
We are happy
The president of the Parish Council is the spokesperson for the population’s feelings: “We are happy. It is a project that will enhance the parish, so we are happy that it is about to happen”, said the centrist mayor.
