The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) predicts for this Monday, July 29, in Madeira, a small drop in maximum temperatures, especially in the highlands, periods of very cloudy skies and showers, generally light, especially on the northern slopes and highlands of the island.
The wind should blow light to moderate (up to 30 km/h) from the north, gradually turning to the northeast.
Temperatures will vary between 23 and 27 ºC in Funchal and 22 and 26 ºC in Porto Santo. The Madeira archipelago once again presents a high risk of exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation today, as such, the national meteorological service recommends the use of sunglasses with UV filter, a hat, a sweater, sunscreen and avoiding exposing children to the sun.
Regarding the state of the sea, the IPMA indicates waves from the north/northwest with 1.5 to 2 meters on the north coast of the island. As for the south coast, waves of less than 1 meter from the west/southwest with 1 meter on the west side.
The sea water temperature should remain between 23/25 ºC.
