Speaking to SIC Notícias, the Mayor of Câmara de Lobos, Leonel Silva, said that a house was hit by flames in the early afternoon, in the Terra Chã area.
Speaking to the same source, the mayor asked that no one travel to the parish of Curral das Freiras, where more than 100 people have already been removed from their homes.
