After a morning without any major difficulties, with all flights landing without problems at Madeira Airport, the afternoon has not been at all welcoming for those wanting to arrive in Madeira by plane.
So far, at least two flights have been cancelled – one Eurowings, from Dusseldorf, Germany, another from Porto by Ryanair – and two others have been diverted – one of which was to Porto Santo, a TAP flight from Lisbon.
In the meantime, at this time there are at least four flights circling around waiting for the weather to improve until the pilots decide whether to try to land in Madeira, cancel the flight and return to the origin, or divert to Porto Santo or the Canary Islands, the two usual options.
