In the last hour a few flights have managed to land, giving some hope for later flights.
40 flights have been cancelled between arrivals and departures, and nothing had landed at the airport today up until 3.30, with the first flights landing shortly after.
The weather will remain windy for the rest of today, and also tomorrow, and getting a little better for Saturday. So there will still be a chance of delays and diverted flights over the next couple of days.
