Sissi, the dog affectionately known as the mascot of Quinta Vigia, died at the age of 11.
The news was shared by Afonso Albuquerque, son of the President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, through social media, where he left a heartfelt farewell message.
“The best dog the world could give me, Sissi. I hope one day we can meet again, my love,” he wrote.
Sissi was a regular presence at Quinta Vigia and won the affection of many for her friendliness and kindness.
