A fire broke out moments ago in a vehicle traveling on the Via Rápida highway, at the Santo António exit, in the direction of Ribeira Brava – Machico.
According to information obtained, the fire occurred in a nine-seater taxi, and the Funchal Fire Brigade is currently on site fighting the flames and ensuring the safety of road traffic.
For now, there is no information available regarding if anyone was hurt, or the circumstances in which the fire originated.
