The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) issued a yellow warning for the north coast of Madeira and Porto Santo due to maritime unrest.
Northwest waves of 4 to 4.5 meters are expected.
The notice is in effect between 6 am and 3 pm on Thursday.
