The Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of Hélder Vieira, a Navy corporal who was stationed in Porto Santo. The Military Judicial Police also admitted to JM that they are investigating the incident, after the Navy reported that the death was the result of an accidental fall. The sailor’s body showed several injuries and will undergo an autopsy.
