In the context of Storm Francis and with regard to wind, noteworthy gusts exceeded 100 km/h in the eastern part of the island, associated with the passage of the frontal system. The highest value was recorded in Caniçal/Ponta de São Lourenço, at 114 km/h, followed by Santa Cruz/Airport, where gusts reached 106 km/h, both under orange warning.
