Another Fire in a Tunnel at Quinta Grand caused panic last week. A car caught fire in the tunnel which quickly filled with smoke after all electricity failed, so no lights and no extraction.
Cars had a problem trying to get out of the tunnel so people left their vehicle’s, there were a couple of tourist buses in the Tunnel, and these photos below taken from a tourist who reads my blog sent them in for me.
17 people were taken to the hospital in Funchal for smoke inhalation, and later released.
