Jet2 from Leeds has given crew and passengers a scare as the tail scraped the runway causing sparks to fly. Cross winds at the airport in Madeira were the cause of the unstable landing. There are no reported injuries on the flight. Firefighters and technicians are looking at the damage to the fuselage.
6 other flights all from the UK have diverted to Porto Santo and Tenerife after circling for a while waiting for the winds to drop.
