The Cemetery in Caniço is full and no room till the 21st of this month.
There are graves on the verge of there period of exhumation, the legal term for exhumation is 3 years but the bylaw stipulates 5 years.
2 funerals were allowed to go ahead this weekend as there were spaces coming available with only a few days left of the 5 year period.
Not a nice subject and very difficult for families on both sides. I believe a new graveyard is being built in Caniço but this will not be near the church.
