MADEIRA WILL INTENSIFY RESTRICTIVE MEASURES

The president of the Regional Government of Madeira will intensify the restrictive measures tomorrow.

Pedro Ramos revealed a few moments ago that the limitations imposed by the mandatory quarantine will be even tighter and Miguel Albuquerque will announce them at a press conference to be held tomorrow afternoon

  1. So suprised Alburquerque taking such decisions. I wish most of the word had taken the same approach. Unfortunately feels like most of the world leaders were more worried about economic caos than health

  3. I hate to be critical of any of the great work that the Administration of Madeira is doing in fighting Coronavirus but there is one area that seems to be treated carelessly. The hand sanitizer. It isn’t there to show that the shop or hospital or wherever is following the rules by having it at the entrance. It is there to be used. Both on entering and leaving. Yes, both times. Not just when you go in. Anything you have touched whilst inside has been handled by whom? Important to use it on the way out too!
    I had to pay a visit to the new hospital yesterday and sat for many hours watching many members of the public coming and going and not one of them bothered to use the hand sanitizer at all. Not one in five hours. I was the only member of the public with mask and surgical gloves.

    I hope that Miguel Albuquerque makes it a rule that the establishment must insist people use the hand sanitizer before entering and upon leaving.

    So please, to keep safe and keep others safe, please use the hand sanitizer when entering and leaving.

  4. Wait till the economic chaos arrives!!!! This is a fine juggling act, wish yourselves the good luck that it wasn’t you taking them, me its hard enough at my level and emotionally draining telling people go home and when they ask ” will we get paid” my answer is ” don’t know after initial 8 days that money in company account will last”
    Next question ” will we still have a job at the end of it” YES” but more reassuringly said than my business brain tells me is probably the fact.
    I came out of retirement to help and have never had to work so hard in my entire life, since I set my first company up 54 years ago.

  6. Madeira is fortunate to get high Solar UV exposure in summertime, since UVC exposure is known to kill virus. If you look at the regions of Portugal youwill see that cases and death decrease with proximity to the equator, hence they get increasing sunshine hours.

  7. Moreover, a Kromayer UVC applicator will kill virus in the blood of COVID infected cases
    . Blood reaches the bronchioles in order to carry oxygen round the body. If there is a Kromayer machine in any Madeiran hospital I will show their flebotomista how to disinfect COVID positive cases, both mild and severe.
