The ban on visiting nursing homes will remain in the Region, guarantees the regional secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos.
“We were perhaps the only region in the country that banned home visits when we realized that older people are more vulnerable to the pandemic,” recalled the secretary.
This also has paid off, as not one case has been recorded in one of the homes in Madeira.
