Another warning to everyone who drives and might forget to pay and display their ticket.
iParque control the meters in most areas and also dish out the fines. Before Covid hit fines were very small, in Caniço or Garajau, it was only a 2.00 euro fine, and I think in other area it ranged between 2-4 euros.
Since being back after covid, as they were out of action for sometime, and all parking was free in many places, the fines have now increased to 30.00 euros, a whopping 15 times more for my area.
So don’t get caught without a ticket, or expired ticket, as its really going to ruin your day.
If you have already been caught out, then I believe you only have a few days to pay the fine before it doubles.
