IASAÚde has just released the daily bulletin.
Today there is a new case (from the south of Portugal), one recovered and four under study.
The region now accounts for 166 recovered cases of covid-19, so there are 69 active cases, of which 59 are imported cases identified in the context of surveillance activities implemented at Madeira Airport and 10 are cases of local transmission.
Regarding the isolation of positive cases, 38 people are in isolation in a dedicated hotel unit, 30 in their own accommodation and 1 patient is in hospital in the Multipurpose Unit dedicated to covid-19 at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça.
To date, the same source said, 15,501 people are being monitored by the health authorities of various counties in the region, using the MadeiraSafe application, 7113 of these people are under active surveillance. Four new situations were also reported that are being studied by the health authorities, all identified in the airport testing operation. Epidemiological investigations are ongoing.
