Mayra Santos beat the world record for static swimming and entered the Guinness Book of Records

This Friday, the Portuguese-Brazilian swimmer set a new world record for static countercurrent swimming, with the mark of 30 hours and 7 minutes.

Mayra Santos thus surpassed the Spanish Alberto Lorente’s 30-hour mark, who has held the record since the 28th June this year.
